1964 Cadillac Fleetwood 60 Special

The Golden Angel, our 1964 Cadillac Fleetwood 60 Special, has been in our family a long time and holds a somewhat emotional history. While she originally came into our possession as an untouched original car, over the years she has gone through a time-consuming and meticulous restoration. We have been sure to pay close attention to detail, keeping her true to the pristine condition she was in when leaving Detroit in October 1963.

My beautiful late wife Alys adored this car. It was the car we used for both our wedding and our honeymoon. As a family we are eternally appreciative of everything Arthur Rank Hospice did for Alys. Our wish is to use The Golden Angel to raise funds for the hospice by making her available for weddings and various other venues in the Cambridgeshire area.

I would like to pay tribute to my dearest friend the late George Ervin McNeil (pictured above), who in so many ways, through his immense kindness, helped save the life of this car. By sharing his many years of experience, he was able to give me unique detailed restoration advice. I would also like to thank my many friends who played a huge part in her restoration: Stuart Heath, Andy Smith, Draytons, Chris Brown, Ted Holcombe, David Sabonjian, Jason Edge, and in recent years my buddy Stu Sharp at AutoStore who has delivered the stunning results shown in these pictures.

It’s so important to support our wonderful hospices. Please call me, Chris on 0750 1724 770, to discuss any opportunities you have in mind; and if you would like to donate to Arthur Rank, then please click on the illustration of Alys at the bottom of the page.

Thank you kindly,
Chris, Alys’s family and friends
